A beautifully presented three-bedroom Victorian home arranged over three floors, occupying an elevated position in the highly sought-after Fiveways neighbourhood, renowned for its excellent schools and vibrant community.

Thoughtfully refurbished, the property retains an abundance of period character, including high ceilings, ornate cornicing, original floorboards and elegant fireplaces. A charming front terrace provides a welcoming entrance, with useful external storage ideal for bicycles.

The entrance hall leads to a superb double reception room, where plantation shutters, bespoke cabinetry and a striking period fireplace create an elegant living space. The adjoining dining room overlooks the rear garden, while the spacious kitchen is beautifully appointed with quality cabinetry, integrated appliances and a large picture window. A door opens onto a paved terrace, seamlessly connecting the house with the west-facing garden.

A particular highlight, the landscaped rear garden is arranged over several levels with mature planting, a generous garden shed, lawn and terraces, creating a private setting that enjoys the afternoon and evening sun.

The first floor offers two generous double bedrooms, including a magnificent principal bedroom spanning the full width of the house with a bay window, fitted wardrobes, plantation shutters and original floorboards. A stylish family bathroom features both a bath and separate shower. The top floor provides an impressive dual-aspect third bedroom with far-reaching views and excellent eaves storage.

Ideally positioned just moments from the independent cafés, bakeries, delis, wine merchants and everyday amenities of Fiveways, the property is also within easy reach of Hollingbury Park, Hollingbury Woods, Brighton city centre and Brighton railway station.

From the moment we stepped into number 43, we knew we wanted to live here. We felt welcomed by the beautiful Victorian features and warm but spacious bedrooms. We will always have the fondest memories of our children running up and down the long landing from bathroom to bedroom and how much happiness and comfort our home has provided us. We have also loved having a glass of wine in the evening on our patio, like our own little private bar!

The house itself has been our haven but outside of it, the location of it has been ideal with being able to walk into town and parks at weekends and to the station for our commute in the week.

People talk about having a community where you live and we can’t praise the community of Hollingdean Terrace enough. We have always felt welcome, safe and part of a caring collective here. I hope the people who live here next get to feel the same!
