Only a short stroll from the all the shops and cafes of Hove’s Church Road, its bay windows beautifully light a hugely fluid layout that includes a superb living/dining room, fully fitted Shaker style kitchen, and a wonderfully large main bedroom with an en suite shower room. A second double bedroom has easy access to the large communal gardens, and being in such a central location means that there’s easy access to the mainline station and the heart of Brighton.
Behind the distinguished double fronted facade of a beautifully maintained landmark period property that dates back to the 1800s, this lower ground floor apartment offers an enviable lifestyle and an impressive sense of space. A stylish and large central hallway creates a hugely easy flowing layout immediately hinting at the generous proportions that feature throughout. The rich tones of its first class wood floor lead the way to a superb living/dining room that’s wonderfully lit by wide sash bay windows that add a huge amount of charm and character. A recessed fireplace gives a homely focal point without encroaching on the floor space, floating shelves nestle within the chimney breast alcoves and the admirable proportions provide a fantastic place to everyone to spend time together.
Fully fitted with tastefully chosen Shaker-style cabinets, an integrated oven and hob, and a white ceramic sink, the excellent kitchen is cleverly arranged to give a wealth of functional storage and workspace. Its wrap-around wood countertops perfectly complement the oak floor, while a brilliantly broad serving hatch connects with the living/dining room allowing you to always be a part of the conversation. Across the hallway two double bedrooms sit peacefully to the rear of this Hove home. The outstanding dimensions and bay windows of the main bedroom create a highly restful feel. Its fitted wardrobes offer ample storage, and there’s the added luxury of a modern en suite shower room. Versatile and flexible to your own needs, a notable second bedroom gives you your own private access to the communal gardens, making it easy to step outside and relax in the sun. Arranged in a classic subway tile setting, the heritage suite of the family bathroom includes a full size bath with an overhead rose shower, and there’s dedicated space for a washing machine.
Residents of this quintessential period property benefit from access to the exceptionally maintained and planted large walled gardens.
What the owner says....
When I was looking for my own flat in Hove I really wanted something that was a great space to live in but also a perfect place to entertain friends. With its large hatch between the kitchen and living room this flat was perfect. Even better it has a shared garden which has been the site of some great parties and barbecues with my friends and neighbours but is quiet enough to relax in at other times. The house is the perfect location, seconds from the sea and Hove lawns and at the other end of the road, all the restaurants and cafes of Hove. Moving away, I will really miss being able to run along the seafront, finishing with a dip in the sea and a very short walk home, but hopefully I'll be handing over the flat to people who will enjoy living here as much as I have.
